This is a similar error which many of you came in contact with while trying to install another Adobe product Adobe Flash Player. It seems to be the type of error which would not be so difficult to fix and in fact it is not at all. Anyway, this problem was mentioned on the Help page by one of the useres which came across it and I did promise that I will look into it and will try to come back with the solution. Here it is and I will make it very simple and easy to understand.
Simptom
In this situation we are facing a problem in which we get the following error messages "Installation encountered errors" and "Failed to initialize".
Cause
The cause of this error is still not clarified but few mention that it could be not having the lates Service Pack installed so I would advise that you would install the latest Service Pack and when you try to download the Adobe Reader software you are actually downloading the latest update.
Solution
Now this is the solution and as I said it is indeed simple. All you need to do is to download the software from a different link which you will find bellow. Many other users which had the same problem were able to solve it by downloading Adobe Reader from the links bellow.
